Records of the Madison weather station located at and operated by the University of Wisconsin in cooperation first with the Smithsonian Institution and then the U.S. Army. Included are meteorological registers recording temperature, winds, cloud conditions, and barometer readings, 1853-1887, 1903-1904; and diaries, 1878-1883, with data on rainfall, snowfall, frosts, and casual phenomena.
